Wild results for the women at conference championships lead to a lot of changes, with the biggest risers being Dartmouth, who climbed up to thirteenth place following their outstanding results at the Ivy League championships where they finished fourth in the NCAA points rankings. Yale finished first in that ranking but drop to fifth after losing in the varsity eight, allowing Big Ten-sweepers Washington and SEC challengers Tennessee to move up.
Other big movers include Virginia who got everything to click when it needed to, re-entering the top ten after a month away with an impressive second place at the ACC Championships.
Awaiting the NCAA selection show on Tuesday evening, these rankings would suggest that the media’s pollsters would have a field of the top 18 of this poll, plus automatic qualifiers Boston University, Northeastern, Rhode Island and first-timers Fairfield.

For the men, the previous rounds of rankings proved to be a good predictor of speed this weekend, so there weren’t too many changes in the rankings. However, there was a change at the top as California overcame their defeat on the Montlake Cut to defeat Washington at the MPSF Championships, claiming the number one spot.
On the east coast, Dartmouth jumped over Princeton after beating them by two seconds at Eastern Sprints, but the biggest risers from Lake Quinsigamond were Yale who rose three spots into the top six following their fourth-place finish in the varsity eight.
